Our recent conversations with our clients, studyes in Google Analytics* and our own personal experience has made me wrote down the following:
First they would like to know what is your hotel looks like - So would be ideal if you have hotel picture gallery describing all your hotel facilities already on your hotel's landing page.
Then they need to know the location of your hotel. Position in destination city or how far is the hotel from airport clients are arriving. Also main landmarks near hotel (for example Eiffel Tower or Town‘s Piazza) would be good to point out.
Very important is the price. Even if you just name there „price starting from“ and point out some Special Offer, it gives some impression to the client of your hotel’s price level. Also if you don’t display any price of your hotel you probably lose a lot of potential clients. Only 2-5% of site visitors will send you a request form.
And the last but not least is the option to read relaiable comments from other clients about this hotel products and services. For that have a link to your reviews sub-page or to give an objective reviews it is even better to have link to TripAdvisor: either to TripAdvisor page or you can also integrate the reviews pane to your own homepage.
